In 2011-2012, I worked on this installation, first collecting visual and written stories from people of all walks of life: strangers on the streets of San Francisco, elderly residents of a retirement home, my friends, their friends, kids I teach at school for the blind in Indiana.
When it all came together, the Dome filled a whole gallery, transformed it into a world of faces, voices, lights, moving indigo silk skies above.
Marg Herder, a sound artist, recorded people reading poetry in many languages, and soft sounds of Nature.
